2025 Annual Luncheon   HIGHLIGHTS
CONNECTING
We are excited to share that our 
2025 Annual Luncheon was an 
unprecedented success! Nearly 500 
attendees and exhibitors gathered at 
the Hilton Chicago on September 
17, marking our largest luncheon 
attendance since 2019. The event 
opened with a powerful presentation 
by the Chicago Police Honor Guard, 
setting a meaningful tone for an 
inspiring day with our members.
	
The program featured a dynamic 
fireside chat with Don Thompson 
of Cleveland Avenue, joined by 
Lou Sandoval. Their conversation 
provided timely perspective 
on leadership, innovation, and 
community impact—offering 
inspiration and motivation to all in 
attendance.
	
The luncheon also included 
a compelling panel discussion on 
The Future of Energy, moderated 
by Meena Beyers, VP of Business & 
Community Development at Nicor 
Gas. Panelists Maria S. Bocanegra, 
President of Peoples Gas and North 
Shore Gas, and Leonard P. Singh, 
Chairman & President of Ameren 
Illinois, shared valuable insights on 
the evolving energy landscape. Their 
discussion highlighted innovation, 
infrastructure, sustainability, and 
what lies ahead for the future of 
energy in Illinois and beyond.
	
With record-setting attendance, 
impactful speakers, and meaningful 
discussions, this year’s Annual 
Luncheon truly showcased the 
strength and momentum of our 
business community.
