CHAMBER INITIATIVES
The Illinois Chamber of Commerce has launched its Mainstreet Initiative, 
which is designed to coordinate and empower local chambers of commerce 
throughout the state. This program is accessible to all local chamber members 
and features monthly advocacy calls where participants can engage in mean­
ingful discussions about current state legislative topics and emerging issues in 
their communities. These calls also provide a platform to identify and foster 
collaboration between local chambers on advocacy issues, aiming to create a 
unified voice in addressing common challenges.
	
Understanding that some local chambers have limited government affairs 
resources, the Illinois Chamber of Commerce is committed to being a reliable 
statewide partner. Through this initiative, we also offer strategic advocacy guid­
ance, call-to-action campaigns, best practices, and networking opportunities 
to help local chambers serve their membership base while stimulating regional 
economic development.
	
The Illinois Chamber is also pleased to offer in-person and virtual legisla­
tive presentations to local chambers across the state. This opportunity is pro­
vided exclusively as a benefit to our member local chambers and offers valuable 
insights into the legislative developments that took place over the past year at 
the statehouse, along with their implications for businesses in Illinois.
	
Over the past several months, we’ve had the privilege to engage with our 
local chamber partners on numerous events of this type in a variety of formats. 
If you are planning programming for the spring or early summer, we would be 
happy to assist with these advocacy topics based on availability. For any ques­
